To punch a line into the wind for permit, I've found the Teeny Bruce Chard line
to be great (www.jimteeny.com). It lands a bit hard, but gets to those fish
upwind that you wouldn't normally reach and turns the leader over well, even
with a heavier crab fly. They also make a tarpon line that I haven't tried yet.
For spey casting, the hot line around the Seattle area is the Skagit Cheater by
Rio. Short head so you have to strip more line in for the cast, but shoots like
a sniper rifle...

  Subject: [VFB] Specialty Fly lines

Anybody have a favorite "specialty" fly line? I'm talking about lines
designed for a specific purpose, like nymphing stillwater or saltwater fishing
etc. What are you using and why do you like it?
