I hooked a small alligator once, came outta nowhere and took my popper.
Billfish rules apply. If you can get your hand on the leader, its OK to
break it off and still call it a catch.

Subject: [VFB] What have you caught on your flies?
Chuch made me think of something that I have wanted to ask.
What other than fish have you hooked on your fly?
I have hooked and lost a bat, a muskrat and a pelican
(actually he took my trout and flew away with my line. Got the
line back when the tippet broke. Any one else?
Mike
