Mark, I have been using this on my Knitpikin Mayflies for a couple of years now. I agree it is not stiff and is very soft. When cut with the "grain" it ties in without cutting the foam even with the 10/0 thread I use. Next time you communicate with Gerry, tell him Tony said Hello.
