Chuck -

I have gotten to the point where I don't even use head cement even if the
head is exposed.  On small flies, especially those witth bead heads, I just
use two, or even three,  three turn whip knots that I force between the
thorax and the bead.  I haven't had one come apart on me yet.  Just MHO.

BTW, Jerry, you can teach your spell check to recognize special words.
Mine accepts herl.
