Hey Chuck, The simplest and easiest video editing software for a PC has to be the automatic editing software by www.muvee.com. I believe you can download a full working copy for 30 days. If you want to keep it, just paypal them.
The free program from Microsoft, Windows Movie Maker, is also easy to use. But, it has issues...like crashing at the worst moment.
