Josh, that news guy sounds like a jerk.

Still, there's a lot to like about what's happening on YouTube.
There's a lot of very fun social interaction going on.

One of my favorite things on YouTube is "Battle of the Youtube Stars"
where this guy pits different popular YouTubers against each other and 
viewers vote on who they like best. I love it.

I respect your choice to use whatever hosting solution meets your
needs. YouTube has made it very easy for anyone to post video and has
reached a critical mass that makes for some rich social interaction. 

It's all good in different ways.
