I hope they're wrestling in mud. Yes, sorry - was just writing a post refuting my earlier post when your post was posted.
Maybe it's something to do with Quantum mechanics. I tried to recreate John's problem and suggested to him off-list that he should upgrade Wordpress and vPIP. There was a vPIP update a couple of weeks ago, wasn't there, to make it compatible with WP 2.6? That seems to have coincided with his problem - perhaps there's a connection? The separate video format feed generation is part of vPIP. Only vPIP doesn't *generate* separate feeds. It just queries your WordPress-generated feed in way that will only return posts into the resulting feed that have the queried video format in them. And that query is generated automatically. By vPIP. On the topic of missing enclosures, I've had enclosures go missing on sites when I've activated the vPIP plugin after first verifying that WordPress generated enclosures on its own without vPIP turned on. Then I've had them magically re-appear a few days later without me changing anything in the site configuration. No one has been able to say why this happens or recreate it exactly. It just seems to happen sometimes. Perhaps a WordPress bug and a vPIP bug are wrestling somewhere, but only if they're in the mood.
