gena i totally agree with you this is so horrible and i think google/youtube has to do something about this because its become so commonplace that its a natural phrase now to say "youtube" and "haters" one after the other
i've also contacted some of the men who have "hated" on me they turn out to be nice young men who say things like "oh i was just kidding, its what you do on youtube" its what you DO ON YOUTUBE??? like telling a woman "you are fat and should die painfully" is nothing and its ok to say that to women on the regular? those same guys are not fans of my show, but how HORRIBLE that its "just what you do on youtube" its so that how can i tell if someone who says that is a normal kid who going to end up liking my show and im'ing me fan mail or a freak who means to hurt me? i think there HAS to be a solution? isnt this HATE SPEECH? isnt there a law against hate speech? i mean, we just got on youtube about 3 months ago, so reading things like "you should die" has been really painful.
