Lisa, At UT the Faculty and Graduate students (because they teach a lot of classes) can check 3 videos out for 3 days. Staff at the checkout desk can make exceptions based on the circumstances.
Undergraduates have a 3 hour in building only check out. Could those of you with an academic media library collection share how many films a faculty member is allowed to have out at one time and for what duration? Your information is much appreciated! VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
