Does anyone know who to contact at PBS about public performance rights?
No one there I’ve previously communicated with seems to be there anymore.

Good afternoon, Matt...

Is there a particular PBS program you're looking to acquire with PPR?

As a direct distributor for PBS, Vide-O-Go distributes both their "home
video" versions as well as their "AV" educational versions with PPR.

Depending on the title, here's the PPR info that accompanies the
programming:

PBS' "AV" Benefits:
Why the AV version? Because it provides additional usage options for PBS
videos. AV versions come with limited performance rights so they can be shown
in classrooms, at PTA meetings, during after school programs, and
transmitted on a closed-circuit system within a building or on a single
campus.
They also can be enjoyed in admission-free public screenings, which also makes
them ideal for use by library patrons and businesses involved in community
clubs and organizations.
Limited public performance rights are included with videos designated as AV
or Indexed. These videos may be shown in a classroom or screened by a
public group, for educational purposes, when no admission is charged for the
viewing. These programs may be transmitted on a closed-circuit system within
a building or single campus. Your purchase does not permit you to duplicate
or alter the program for any purpose, to distribute the program through
any wide access network (internet, open cable, open broadcast, LAN,
satellite, telco, etc.), or to digitize, encode and/or place the program on a
digital server.
Wishing you continued success...

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.
