Personally I use JOSM for editing OSM. I then use Viking for Route planning / Post Analysis / some GPX use. I would like to see a preference that could set the default map to be used on opening viking / opening a gpx. [Settings from the .vik file would override this] Also I would like some way of invoking other programs given the current location and visible extents. [Thus it means you can jump into the JOSM of the current view or any other program - see gqview/geeqie for a sample way of running external programs] A sneaky way of not having to code the OSM stuff into viking itself! These things have been in my personal feature wish list for some time. (Not that I've told anyone.....) Be Seeing You - Rob.
