Does this solve the problem? In which category would a tip for C/C++ be? Cfamily? C? C++? all three? I am ok with having one category for each language. If a tip fits into multiple languages, put it in multiple cats. (A pro of these "tag-like" categories is that they don't have to be disjoint ...) If someone browses through a category she will find all relevant tips. It's easy :-) You are right that the reader then has to trust the categories. But we will have to find another way to make her trust us.
