My knowledge of CJK languages is spotty bordering on nonexistent (though I love the beautiful written shapes characteristic of Chinese/Japanese but also of Arabic). I don't even know if there's a native ideogram (or compound) for Christmas, but I know that the Chinese New Year usually happens at the end of January or in the first days of February so we still have some time to get ready for it. > > Though you've well and truly exhausted my language repertoire.
