No, but why are you trying to choke your IIsi to death with 7.6? :)
The IIsi (backup machine) had 7.6.1 running on it for 3 years!
Right now it is all I have to use. The IIsi HD only has the MacOS on it,
with none of the PPC apps, etc. The external 700HD carries the load of
apps, internet, etc.

That's usually indicative that PPC code is trying to be run on a 68K.
Will try to reinstall again following direction below.
Try an install "For this Macintosh" and see if that helps.

If you did a "clean" install, at the "for any Macintosh" setting, the

Separate issue, relative to the software (below)>
Did the new software indicate the minimal O.S. it needs? Minimal RAM?
Following System Requirements:
Any Macintosh running MacOS 7.6 or better.
16 MB RAM
30 MB hard drive space
CD-ROM drive
*All requirements met (external Apple CD-ROM) (No mention of
chip/processor requirement on box, in manual or on website).
If the software says it'll run in any Mac, does that take into account the
68030 processor in that IIci?
(Above) IIsi

Perhaps he needs it to run this software that requires 7.6 - hello -
putting 2 and 2 together here :) Sorry I just finished my finals and
I'm feeling a bit giddy ;).
Got that right. Hey, I want to get this software to work like it
says that it will.

Yes, this I agree with.
I've exchanged e-mails with the support guys and there was no
mention of 68K/PPC being an issueyet, anyway. Regardless, I attempted to
run it on a PM7100 with 8.1 and before I destroyed the OS, it issued
variations of the same error messages (not the -192 code, though).

Or an Easy Install, that usually provides al lthe required parts for
the machine without the crap fror PPCs and Powerbooks.
Will try all of the above.
Thanks to each, I will sort this out!?
