What kind of weird ethernet card? The best way to share it with a PC if you're using some kind of broadband is to get a router. If you're using dialup and using Windows 98SE+ on the PC you can also use the Internet Connection Sharing. I personally haven't done much with the ICS having gone the router route, but I'm told it's fairly straightforward. A IIsi won't run 8.1 out of the box, being a 68030, but if you follow the directions here: http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/os8_68030.html it will work. Whether you want to run MacOS 8.1 on the IIsi is another question - I recommend 7.1 personally - but it's up to you.
