Well, it's a nice concept, but it rarely works ;) I prefer something more 
along the lines of "The customer is always due consideration" or "The 
Customer should be treated with due respect".

That is, a customer shouldn't be mistreated or summarily dumped, but there 
are limits to what a customer should be able to get away with. Without 
limits, businesses would end up spending far more than a customer is worth 
or reducing employee morale by letting customers abuse employees.

Go stick "The customer is not always right" into Google to read some 
interesting (and not so interesting) counterpoints.
