Erm, the customer could be right, wrong or painted purple and standing on the moon with a glass of Port for all I care (at least, while I'm not at work anyway). The fact is if they are being a pain in the ass you don't want to deal with them. If they are nice and helpful you treat them much better. Awkward people still get the service but just don't get as much of the smile factor. Taking it from the customer side, another thing you have to understand is that the retail sector is short of skilled staff. You take the example when I got that PRAM battery from Maplin. I walked in and got a young member of staff. He was *totally* clueless. If I had given him the shop part number then he would have been fine , but in the event he had absolutely *no* idea what I wanted. Now when I showed it to the manager he knew straight away, but not everyone is that experienced or that bright. -- Mark Benson AIM - SilValleyPirate Visit FlatPackMacs online: <http://fpm.gotdns.com> Visit my Homepage: <http://homepage.mac.com/markbenson> Vintage Macs List Nanny "Never send a human to do a machine's job." -The Matrix -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
