So he's running a line level input into a jack that is really a microphone input instead of the line level input on the other Macs that is confusingly labled with an icon shaped like a microphone.... Right, anyway, if running from line level source into a plaintalk "mic" input, then using the same setup into a mic input that really is a mic input, head over to Radio shack and grab a pair of their RCA to 1/8" (3.5mm) mono attenuator adaptors.
