I'm replying to just this message to cut down on my number of
reponses, but all of you who have contributed feel free to jump in
here.

After my two previous messages I realized that if I put them together
it adds up to three facts:

1) The Value040 must have a 16 bit data interface.
2) The LCIII (and similar) has a 32 bit data bus
3) But the LCIII has an LC type PDS slot (with an extender to make it
32 bit?).

which is basically some of the material that Jutso and Pickle pointed out.

So, will the Value040 with its 16 bit interface work in the 32 bit
data bus machines which have an LC PDS slot?

Anyone know? Or is that the question we're all chewing over here? I
couldn't see any explicit answer in the reponses, though I think the
feeling is that it is unlikely to work.

Unfortunately, I don't have one of the machines in question to test
with. Will an LCIII MB fit in my Q605 chassis? If so, I guess I
just need to get me hands on an LCIII MB to test it. Oh, okay, I
went to Mark's Flatpackmacs site and this last question is answered
there. Thanks Mark. That's a nice site. In answer to your
somewhat rhetorical earlier question, even though it's in your sig
line I had never visited it because who really pays attention to sig
line info any more? The stuff gets taken out by my bio-filter.

BTW, what's the jumper block behind the SCSI connector on the LC for?
It looks like three two pin jumpers. There are some labels on them
but I don't know what the abreviations are for.
