Sounds like bad cabling... have you guys tried more than one network cable? Are you sure they are patch and not cross-over? (Hold the two ends side-to-side and see if the colors are arranged the same.)

I'm still having trouble with the Asante Nubus Ethernet Card. I stuck a switch between the router and my Mac IIci. I've upgraded the OS to 7.5.5 added OT 1.1.2 and installed the drivers for this card from Asante. I'm still getting this blinking green light on the back of the card and no light on the switch (or router). Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem but with a Quadra 840av and OS 8.1 (and whatever version of OT comes with that.)

Tried it with both an Asante card and a DaynaPort, same result.
