a type 4 be a possibility?    the limited research I've done on the web says 
the type 4 is pretty much bullet proof in a type 1...  You have to invest in 
the conversion hardware, or figure out to fab it yourself...   It *is* all 
factory parts, too (if you're concerned about such things)

Don't know if it can run on a 1 barrel, though...  for some reason, it's on my 
head that the conversion stuff to make it fit in a type 1 means dual carbs (but 
they could be factory carbs, couldn't they?)
