Guys, I needed a new fuel filler hose for my 68 bug. My gas tank has an oval "flared" inlet and the other end behind the fuel filler flap door is round....approximately 14" long or so.
It had oem looking clamps on both ends with a spiral wound "protection" wire around it. But! all of the places I looked on line and in catalogs advertise the same thing ...a two piece something or other....except for West Coast Metric. They list a hose for $18 that says fits 68-79...so I went for it. I figured for that much money it must be the right piece...Got a 5 inch piece of hose that might have fit the fuel filler outlet, but not the fuel tank inlet. So what is the deal?? I can't ever remember looking at fuel filler hoses much, but I don't ever remember seeing a two piece one.
