I have two different tanks on the couple of 68s I have.

The earlier one has a tank which had a vapor vent at the far LHS front
corner. This supposedly had a long pipe which brought the vapors to the filler
flap side. This was missing ever since I got the car and the last owner had
warned me to advise the gas station attendant to slowly fill up lest theres
backpressure and gas gurgles back out the filler neck. The end where the pipe
was supposed to go had a soda bottle cap which I take off at the time of fill
up to let the displaced air escape. No need to warn the station attendant then!
I have been so far unable to find taht mystery hose and hardware.

The later 68 has a more 'normal' tank with the vapor outlet near the filler.
Maybe this tank has a round filler neck??? Not sure.
