1st, hello again. I'm back. You don't remember me? I
keep popping in from time to time since about 1988 when I
lived in Michigan and had my first '71 Super Beetle and a
'68 Bus then later with my '61 ragtop.
I've had my current '71 super Beetle for a bunch of years
now and it recently became my daily driver (Yah!). Luckily
I spent some time getting the heat going so I'm nice and
toastly.
I do have several problems however and need to turn to you.
My turn signals stopped working recently. The 4-way
flashers work so I assume the bulbs and flasher work. I
took the t-s switch off the steering column and inspected
it without taking it apart but can't see anything obvious.
When use the swith, the green indicator on the speedo
lights but I get no blinken lighten nor any ticken-tocken.
I do have a color wiring diagram. I looked in the archive
and was surprised not to find a hint. So, any hints.
Anyone, anyone, Bueller?
One more odd clue for you. The signals stopped workig
after I hit a mighty pot-hole so hard that I broke one of
my American Eagle Empi 8-spoke wheels. But that's a hole
'nuther problem.
