First week in oct 2001 I put on my cammies,boots and web gear and got my M16A1 and 40 rounds of ammunition. I walked into lindberg field in san diego and spent 6 1/2 months doing security at the airport.i was a squad leader in 2nd platoon. We were composed of troops from about 4 units that had volunteered to do whatever we could to help travelers feel safer .i was in on 10 drug busts ,caught some people doing things they should not have been. Hard to believe it was 9 years ago last month. It helped me get through the radical changes in all of our lives. If you hate the patriot act you will hate sharia law even more-be vigilant.
