Although I joined the list after my dial-up days I can still remember them well.
My wife getting mad was one of the reasons for me to switch to ISDN and have 
not only a "high speed" connection but also a separate line for data :)

Strange to think that my 9 years old son already takes a 100Mbps always on 
connection for granted...
