Good for you

Although I must say that some of the newer cars are really not that
bad in terms of parts and the ability to work on them.

I know that this a against the grain but I have two hondas; 03 civic
and and 06 crv (bought new) and they have given me no trouble what so
ever except the damaged I have caused.

I have done basic suspension and brake work and was pleasantly
surprised how easy it was although honda cheaps out on the strangest
components mostly anything that has threads and there is not enough
plating on their bolts, disassembly can be a PIA.

Now could I pull the engine and tranny in a few hours, probably not,
but that's why I still have my 75 914 I've worked on everything on
this car with the exception of rust work. I would drive it everyday
but would be concerned about it... Especially where I live in metro
NYC.

Good luck would be great to hear about your progress...
