Eric,

No one said, well at least, I certainly did not, that you had to reduce speed
forever.

In tech support the hardest issues to resolve are those which seemingly have no
reason nor rhyme.

Apple are likely powerless to fix this, until they know what is causing it.

If you read over my messages clearly, you'll see that I recommended reducing
speed for 48 hours or so, if the issue persists then its not that, if though it
resoles. bingo, you can then report to Apple accessibility, this is how you
reproduce the issue, and this is how you fix it.

now they have something concrete to work with.

Its very, very highly likely that Apple accessibility folk will not be using
their demo unit devices at anywhere near the speed some of you are, so they
probably are thinking to themselves, no, no issue here. only a hand full of
users have it, and we can see no pattern.

so, if you want it fixing, find the pattern and demonstrate how it happens and
how to fix it.

Neil, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but what point is there in lowering
speech rate to test if that is the issue. If you have the problem, you know
it and knowing why you have it really does nothing.

If you can accept working with slower speech, I suppose that is a solution
of sorts, but it makes about as much sense as telling someone with car
troubles they will have to drive at half speed and all will be well.

I guess you could argue that half speed speech is better than an
intermittent no speech, but only for a very patient customer. It is no
solution at all for most customers and should not be to Apple, either. I
doubt it is. It just really bugs me that they will not even acknowledge
there is a problem and say it is on their list of things to fix. But, with
so little feedback, compared to what they got from thousands and thousands
of customers and hundreds of web writers and some real writers, too, and
they still would not cop to the antenna issue, I don't expect we will ever
hear anything on our little issue.
