Richard, but what about recommending Navigon for those who live in areas
where the maps do work for them? I mean, Oregon isn't the center of the
universe... Right? Seriously though, I can understand where you come
from in that if a product isn't accurate and the people you are making
recommendations to live in the area, then you are right that it's not a
viable solution.

The fact that Navigon thinks that I live in Lake Jeanclia, Oregon, is a problem.
I am in Portland and there is no lake jeanclia in Oregon and I get no reply
from their support people.
So i cannot recommend navigon to anyone.

Right, but mapquest also relies on data connection at all times where as
Navigon does not. That was my only point. Mapquest is very good as well. Good
thing there are always choices. I just don't get what the fuss with people not
liking Navigon is.

I asked the question about Navigon versus IOS 6 Maps a few days ago, and
one difference that Raul pointed out, is that Maps in IOS 6 will need a
data connection while Navigon will use locally stored maps. This will
mean that you'll eat up your data plan if you're out and about using
Maps. For this reason, it may still make sense to purchase Navigon.

Hi Folks,
I'm wondering about purchasing Navigon, but see that its review rating is
only 2 stars; is this a true reflection of the app's value, or do people
find Navigon worth the expenditure?
Secondly, is the navigation app in IOS6 going to be a replacement for
Navigon or similar?
Thanks for your thoughts,

Mike
