They have looked the route up using Google Maps.

I too really like this app, but am very interested in what you mean that
they have confirmed routes for you when it seemed like you were taking the
scenic route? I have always found it to have issues with taking the scenic
route or it appears that it does. What do you mean they confirmed? Let me
also add that Navigon may have been slightly but not much better in this
regard. I first noticed the issue back when Navigon was good in my opinion.
I also no longer have any use for Navigon. I too live in Portland.
