My husband just took a trip from FL to VA, and Navigon on my phone did just
as well, and better sometimes, than the GPS built into our car. I learned
some features I didn't know I had. It was also more accurate with the
projected times of arrival. I have not one complaint about it and would
;highly recommend it.

Right, but mapquest also relies on data connection at all times where as
Navigon does not. That was my only point. Mapquest is very good as well.
Good thing there are always choices. I just don't get what the fuss with
people not liking Navigon is.
