Hi, That's not true, at all. Navigon can do what he's looking for, actually. The other one he mentioned can do it as well. If he has a 4S, then iOS 6 can also do it, but that won't be released until later this year.

The navigation apps are basically the same software that is contained in the stand alone GPS systems used in cars. Sendero is in colaboration with the Seeing Eye on developing an app that supposedly will be similar to the Sendero products available on other platforms.
