Hi Richard, no. I have not noticed what you were talking about. What I have noticed, and can't decide why this is happening, is that the mail app often reports and in proper number of messages. Generally it says the right number. But when I've been in there, dealing with email, and then it tells me I have X number of messages, and that is more than I actually have that are unread,… but I haven't figured out a pattern. My working theory is that the messages are slower to download an iOS nine for some reason. So I get into subjects and start deleting in the list of subjects, and then I've even seen messages appear that I thought I had deleted. That didn't happen with iOS 8. That's my theory anyway. But that doesn't help with your problem. Mary
