I think we have another feature, of using the three finger quadruple tap
when capturing text. On some pages there's just no other way to get what
you want ...
In case anyone hasn't discovered this, it's useful, for example, when
you have to enter a code. Once you hear just the code you want, you can
then do this gesture and copy it into pasteboard (which I assume is the
same as the clipboard) and paste it where required.
Perhaps I am wrong and sighted people can do this, but perhaps not so
easily as we can.
No doubt, someone will enlighten me!

apps. I know this has worked on an iPad Air 2 for a while but
