First, let me congratulate some of you for such “colorful” posts! They’re truly 
entertaining.

But now for a bit of boring seriousness; the DigitEyes introduced a major 
enhancement (at least in my opinion) when the “you’re close alert” was 
included.  This is the feature where an audible alert is given when you’ve 
managed to focus on a part of the UPC.  This allows the user to concentrate on 
that immediate area of the package.

Like others posting to this thread, I needed to develop the “scanning skill” 
before being able to effectively use the app.  And have others have stated, the 
UPC on cans is usually near the label seem and towards the bottom.
