Nest is quite expensive, haven’t checked Honeywell, but if you want a less expensive option you can check www.RadioThermostat.com<http://www.RadioThermostat.com>. I have heard before that the basic thermostat used by them can also be bought at Home Depot for around $100. The current Nest thermostat (third generation) is double that on Amazon.com. Of course the Nest does work wit Alexa and I don’t think RadioThermostat.com has that integration, but I haven’t checked lately. I have owned three of the Radio Thermostats for probably 5 or 6 years now, two are at my retail store and one is at home, they are reliable and work, the app is accessible and the only criticism I have is that they don’t and don’t plan to implement Apple Home Kit support. I will most likely at some point start replacing these with one that does offer it, but not at a cost of over $200 canadian, it is after all not that difficult to ask SIRI to open the app and to then tap on the appropriate button a few times to raise or lower the temperature which is done in half degree Celsius increments.

I chose this device because it is, supposedly, accessible with the Amazon Echo, but I have not yet gotten this part completely figured out. The company will provide phone tech support but I have not had the time to call. Using the app, I am able to control temperature settings and switch from air con to heat; my needs are fairly basic although the Sensi has several desirable features.
