Anyhow, I still got a $760 rebate on a total bill of a bit over $4,000 and while I had hoped for a bit more it’s at least about 18% and the new LED fixtures are brighter, put out a nicer light and of course there is no more florescent hum, they are totally silent. I will most likely at some point start replacing these with one that does offer it, but not at a cost of over $200 canadian, it is after all not that difficult to ask SIRI to open the app and to then tap on the appropriate button a few times to raise or lower the temperature which is done in half degree Celsius increments. The company will provide phone tech support but I have not had the time to call.
