Dave, That was true in iOS 10. Seeing AI released an update for iOS 11, and now on the 5s, the product channel is indeed available. I have a 5s and have used it. Richard

Assuming this is the case, when you have the product channel selected, simply hold the phone with the product’s bar code in front of the device.
