It's true, this exact thing happened to me a few days ago. My phone was locked and in my pocket, and when bending over, apparently enough pressure was on the power button that the message came up about powering off the phone. On the one hand I wish that it was not so easy to have the message pop up, but then again at least it asks you if you want to power off rather than doing an immediate shut down.
