I am running the Australian hq voice and it does pretty much eliminate the hiss I had in her compact voice. But I didn't seem to get the hq voice until I reset my iPhone even though I waited a while and tried turning compact voice on and off first. But don't do this unless you have access to iTunes because I can confirm that if you reset you won't be able to turn on voiceover by yourself even if you try tripple click home! I knew the problem wasn't a sound problem or that the phone wasn't on because my time chime apps that I have set up were going off and announcing the time. Unless there are unforseen problems, I'm staying with the Australian voice.
