Hi Sieghard, I never checked my mail on the iPhone before IOS6, because it was a pain to delete messages. It is gmail. I'll check their settings. I'm using outlook 2003 I can tell you that when I download my mail with outlook, it then takes them off of the iPhone, which I like. I'll keep messing around with it. Thanks for the reply, Thom

The only explanation for what you are describing is that something is not setup correctly. Have you had your account set up with IMAP on your computer and on your phone before and was it working?
