Yes, press volume up and release quickly. then press volume down and release quickly. Then press and hold power button and count to 12. Your phone will reboot and come up like you're wanting. This is something you would want to do if the phone is stuck or other things like that. If you're just wanting to do a typical restart, power down by holding power button until voice over says power down. Then choose the on screen button to shut it down. then just turn your phone back on.

HI Maria,
Ok I just tried pressing the up volume button and the power button but not for
very long, and I got a message telling me I can take a screen shot. So this
isn't working either.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you.
Janet

You can also hold the power button with one of the volume buttons but don't
hold them in too long or you will call 911.

If you just want to shut it down, go into Settings and tap at bottom of screen
to go to bottom of list, the last setting is Shut Down. Double tap and you get
the usual screen with double tap to shut down. If you want h hard reset, do the
dance with the up, down and shake it all about...

Hi Everyone,
I want to reboot my xr phone, and I was told by Apple to first press the up
volume and then press the down volume and then press the power button, and the
phone will reboot. Now, when I do this the only thing that I know is happening
is lowering the vo voice so I can't hear anything, and the phone does not come
back on automatically either like I was told it would, but if it does, I can't
hear anything. I know I can turn vo back on, but I can't believe this is the
way to reboot the phone.
So if any xr phone users know how to reboot the phone, please share?
Thank you in advance.
Janet
