In case you didn’t read through all of my message I think at this point that Apple Care Plus has become too expensive. I used to recommend it, but now that the phones are so expensive the insurance has become equally expensive. If I were you I’d inquire with your homeowner’s insurance if you can add your iPhone XS to it on a separate rider with a 0 deductible, if they do it you might be surprised about how inexpensive that is compared to Apple Care and that would also cover loss or theft, but to make sure ask them exactly what it does cover.
