What series of Apple Watch is he giving you? If it is a series 2 then you’ll be in for a frustrating experience and it may turn you off newer and faster devices. My wife and I have both a series 2 which we bought in the fall of 2016 after it came out. For my wife who is sighted it’s not too bad, but I find when Voiceover is running it’s incredibly slow and sluggish. The other day we went for a long walk and wanted to record it and she had started the work-out in about 5 seconds and it took me maybe 30 by the time I switched to the watch face where I have the Workout complication, then when I tapped it, it took forever to load and I actually had to press the digital crown once since it just seemed to hang, then try again until it finally came up and I could select the workout. We both ordered the new series 5 watches now and I am very curious to see how much nicer the experience will be.
