Hi Chris and All, Well I just finally got home from the Apple store, and I’m pretty excited to tell you all who have been following this thread, and for all those who tried to help. The Genius lads did sort it out! Smile! The Apple rep first listened to how high the sound would go on my phone, and he said it is way too low. The Apple rep ran a diagnostic test on my xr phone, and the results was the right bottom speaker had failed! The rep cleaned out the speaker with a soft tiny brush, and some clay, and sure enough, my xr phone sounds much louder! Smile! The rep said the speaker was pretty much clogged up with dust! I’m once again a happy camper! Smile! Although, I’m quite confused about these speakers on xr phones, but I will send another message out to the list because it is a different subject. . Janet From:

I pressed the side button for Siri, I heard no sound as I usually do when I ask Siri for something, So, even though I heard no sound, I told Siri to raise the volume to 100 percent, and low in behold, she said the volume is already 100 percent. So, I thought as long as I can get Siri's attention, I pressed the side button again, and told Siri to turn on voice over, and sure enough she said turning on voice over, and it is now talking once again! I tried the three finger double tap just in case I might have muted it without knowing, but still that didn't work. I tried two finger double tap, but still no go! I tried pressing the side power button three times, but still no go! I can't even get Siri to respond by pressing the side button! I don't have the hey Siri feature turned on. The phone appears to be completely dead! Although, I did get a phone call, and the phone did ring, but when I tried to answer it, it stopped ringing, I did get an alert because whoever they were they left a message. Any suggestions please!
