Thanks, Gordon. I saw your post about the VO lag workaround. I've not noticed any lag with VO and iOS 14 but based on today's adventures, I won't be surprised if I do. I'm very lucky and thankful I got my phone and settings back.

I was then able to restore last night's backup when prompted to either start using it as a new phone or to restore a backup. This restoration took a bit over an hour and all my apps had to re-download again but I got all my settings back including everything that was reset when directed by Willard at Apple Accessibility. I have no clue what caused the phone to hang as it did during my first restore but I'm very glad I got everything back. I'll chalk this up to a learning experience. I just want to encourage everyone who is planning on doing an iOS upgrade, especially a major one such as with iOS 14, to backup your device before doing so. You never know what might happen during the upgrade and having to start over fresh can be most time consuming.
