Definitely, I agree with that about Apple Care.

Joshua,
You say getting the battery replaced doesn't cost you a thing because you pay
$10 a month for your Apple Care plan. If you never had another claim and
assuming you had your iPhone 8 for 3 years that battery replacement cost you
$360. Just saying because while having some sort of insurance plan gives you
peace of mind to some degree, don't let it fool you into thinking that it's
free, it is not, it costs $120 a year and unless you happen to break your phone
in a way which is covered, that is money down the drain. I am not saying people
shouldn't get it, but I have my iPhone added as an extra to my homeowner's
insurance which costs me I think $30 or $40 a year and while this doesn't cover
a battery replacement, it would cover the loss. I can walk into an Apple Store
and pay $65 Canadian to replace the battery on any iPhone up to the 8/8 Plus,
battery replacement for any newer phones like the X/XR/XS or 11/12/13 series
phones cost $89.
I don't know what the US prices are, but I would guess that $65 Canadian would
mean maybe $49 US for an iPhone 8 battery replacement.

I recently had a talk with apple accessibility, and I was told the battery life
of the 13 pro, is about 22 hours. That is awesome compared to my iPhone 8
which at most has a battery life of 13 hours.
I will be going to best buy hopefully in a few days and I'll be getting my
iPhone 8 battery replaced. It won't cost me a thing since I've got apple care
plus. I pay $10 per month for it.
