Richard, If you see well enough to disable the Bluetooth radio, on your 15, then you should be good to power down the device.
After restarting the 15, if you do not hear VO, make certain that both the Bluetooth and the WiFi radios are disabled. Next, first disable and then enable VO. Next, with a pair of wired ear pods attached, try that volume up button, again. It sounds to me as though your phone is connected to CarPlay or some kind of external audio device. Let us know how it goes. This evening VoiceOver stopped speaking on my iPhone 15 Pro. • I hear the VoiceOver clicks and other sounds when I swipe up to activate the phone, but no speech. • I hear the VoiceOver clicks and other sounds when I swipe left and right, but no speech. • I’ve turned the volume up high; the VoiceOver sounds get louder, but no speech. • A three finger double tap does not bring up speech as it should. • I have attempted to use the voice command, “Siri, turn speech on,” or “Siri, turn speech off.” Neither will voice. • I have checked for Bluetooth devices that might be connected, but all are turned off. Also, if this were a Bluetooth conflict, I don’t think I would be hearing the VoiceOver sounds. Thanks very much.
