Peter, try the following:
1. Inside of the contact, there is an edit button. Click on that; you can
swipe through and open fields as desired. When finished editing, click on
update or save…can’t recall the prompt, but do whatever is needed to save the
changes.
2. Navigate to and open (single finger double tap) the phone number field.
3. Put the cursor at the end of the phone number.
4. Add 1 or more commas and then zero. The commas are there to pass time
and/or get to the prompt to tap zero. You could try using 1 comma to see if
that is sufficient, and if not, continue to add commas as needed. When
finished editing, remember to save your changes. That may be a poor
explanation; perhaps someone else can do a better job.
5. Although it is a tad more complex and/or requires more effort, you can
use the commas to automatically move you through automated systems. I use
commas in contacts where multiple responses are needed. For example, the first
prompt might require me to push 3, the second prompt might require me to push
1, etc. It takes some trial/error to determine how many commas are placed
between digits, but when done, all I have to do is activate the contact and
wait as digits are automatically entered. Different actions are needed at a
particular point in my banks process, so I include only digits needed to that
point; I can then manage to tap the required digit when prompted.

Subject: Can a number be automatically sent to a phone menu to always connect
with the operator?

Hello,

I’m using the iPhone 14 and IOS 17.4.
My Contacts has two taxies and whenever I call one of them, a talking menu
comes up. With each menu there is no option to remain on the line to be
redirected to a live operator. The menu keeps repeating.
I have to enter the number zero for the operator.

In a noisy area, it is difficult to find the number (on the onscreen number
pad), with VoiceOver and the menu talking at the same time.
Is there a way to have zero (or another number) pressed without having to use
VoiceOver?
