I charge my iPhone 13 Mini overnight. I plug it in when I go to bed and
unplug it when I get up.
As I mentioned, I use the Optimized Charging feature. When I pick the
phone up in the morning, it is always at 100 percent.
I think if charging up to 100 percent would shorten the battery life,
Apple wouldn't do it. It just doesn't charge it to 100 percent until
shortly before I usually pick it up.
From this I infer that charging it to 100 percent is not a problem, but
keeping it at 100 percent for extended periods might be.

Mine on a two-year-old 14 Pro is 95%. I try to charge at 20-30, but once mine

charge to the 80's somewhere, other than the occasional higher, as in instance
given in previous post, where I know I am going to be needing longer time on a
charge.

It is best to charge it when it is down to 30% or 20%, most advice is not to
let it go way down to 8% or even 1% and also to not necessarily charge all the
way to 100% although if you have a long day ahead where you want the most
battery then that of course is OK. I honestly don't worry about it that miuch,
I typically keep my iPhones 2-3 years and even if I were to keep it for longer
and I found my battery capacitiy was not good enough any more, I'd simply pay
whatever it costs to have a new battery put in.

Subject: iPhone charging question
What is the best way to charge an iphone in order to prolong battery life? Is
it better to always charge to 100 percent, or is it better to only let it go to
just under 100 percent?
